Quick write up – 4 Selections at Longchamp

Great news that the British racing is set to return in June but in the meantime we have had some quality racing in France to get stuck into and thought I would post some of my bets for tomorrow. It’s been a profitable week so far on the punting scene so hopefully a few more to come tomorrow. For clarity,  I only bet on the odd conditions race with focus solely on the Listed and Group races in France as I have no idea about their handicapping system to be quite frank.

10.40 Group 3

While others such as Ocean Atlantique, Another Sky and Pao Alto bring potential, the 4/1 is simply far too big for the already Group 1 winner MKFANCY. He had a recent run back in March on the AW where he bumped into what looks to be a useful Colt in Waltham and that should put him a little more forward than two of the three rivals mentioned above. A good draw in three gives me hope that connections will try and set the fractions on the front end. There is plenty more to come from this improver who already sets the form standard by quite some way, by default he should be heading the market.

11.10 Group 3

Emoji looks to have plenty more to come but its unclear what she has beat to date despite Private Romance doing the Saint- Cloud form no harm today. That race did turn into a sprint though and there is every chance that a few of those rivals in behind her weren’t able to give their running on that occasion. Proven form is worth Gold and I am willing to chance FLIGHTY LADY who was unlucky on her last two starts of the season last year. She will make her debut for a new yard tomorrow and she looks to have been crying out for this extra distance with fast finishing efforts the last twice. She should already be a Group 3 winner but for being denied a clear run and she showed up well when behind the smart Albigna in Group 1 company finishing fast beaten just 2 3/4l. The form of that race has worked out well and she should take all the beating if ready first time up.

11.40 Listed

I am siding with two from the same stable here. Dariyma 4/1, is the choice of Christophe Soumillon and she rates a filly on the up with any amount of improvement to come. She can be forgive last time, she was unfavoured by her track position coming into the home straight in dire conditions but kept on nicely, and is likely much better than that.

The other is DARIYZA 11/1 E/W. This is a smart filly, her listed win at the end of last season reads well and she was comfortably on top in the closing stages there but its likely the Prix De Dianne form lines will hold sway and her 2L defeat by Dianne winner Channell last May was not clean cut. She also has a collateral form line that puts her right in the mix with the market leader Grand Glory and you’re getting a much bigger price. Add the fact that she has won both times fresh and she would have remained unbeaten at this track last season if not for a blocked passage behind Silva, she rates excellent each way value.

4/1 MKFANCY 2pt win

2/1 FLIGHTY LADY 2pt win

4/1 DARIYMA 1pt win

11/1 DARIYZA 1.5pt E/W
